first_imgVICTORY Valley Royals and Retrieve Raiders will tonight square off for the Linden Amateur Basketball Association (LABA)-organised Youth Basketball Guyana (YBG) Under-19 championship honours at the Mackenzie Sports Club hard court.The final was to be played last Saturday but because of unforeseen circumstances was not played..To reach the final, the unbeaten Victory Valley Royals defeated Kings 78-43 and Retrieve Raiders overcame Amelia’s Ward Jets 57-50 in the other semifinal action.The Raiders led 18-15 at the end of the first quarter in their semifinal clash but the scores were locked at 27 when the first half ended.The third quarter did not separate the two as the scores were locked 46-46 when the third quarter elapsed, but the Raiders were able to record a 57-50 final score when the game ended.last_img read more
